Biography
Dr. Tanya Mikitchenko started as a medical assistant in a fast paced Ophthalmologist practice in NYC while she was working on her bachelor’s degree. Around 15 years ago, that is where she started developing a big passion and knowledge about eyes and it never stopped. After graduating Hunter College with a Biochemistry degree in NYC, Dr. Mikitchenko attended Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University where she received her doctorate degree in 2014. Dr. Mikitchenko also completed an extensive externship program at The Eye Institute of Philadelphia, Veteran Affairs Hospital in Connecticut, Total Eye Care & Cosmetic Laser Center in Pennsylvania where she earned clinical honors in Pediatrics and Ocular Diseases and Contact Lens specialties.
Personal Experience
Prior to founding her own practice EYEDEAL EYECARE, Dr. Tanya Mikitchenko was closely working with multiple Comprehensive Ophthalmologists including Glaucoma Specialists where she gained invaluable knowledge and experience. Dr. Tanya Mikitchenko focuses on Medical Primary Care which includes the treatment and management of Glaucoma, Cataracts, Macular Degeneration, Diabetic Retinopathy, Myopic Degeneration, and heavy emphasis on Dry Eye Disease and Myopia Control in kids.
Dr. Tanya Mikitchenko believes that no two patients are the same thus individual approach to each patient and each disease is essential in her practice. Her goal is to make every patient see, feel and look ideal, hence she created EYEDEAL EYECARE!
